Why was the Renaissance different?
In this 3-part, 75 min. per session class,
we will look at the major art, artists, and the philosophical shift that defined the Early and “High” Renaissance.
Class will include lecture, discussion, and many images to support the topic. Focus is an informative look at art, architecture, sculpture, and cultural context.
{Not an academic class, NO tests or assignments}
Participants will require no supplies or previous art history experience.
(additional 3-part sessions will follow later to cover The Baroque/Rococo, Romanticism, Impressionism and Post Impressionism, and The Modern Era)

Bio: David Bottini holds an MFA from The Savannah College of Art & Design and teaches Art History at Frederick Community College. He has also taught a variety of art studio, color theory, and art history courses during his 38-year teaching career.
